Earlier this year I worked on a short film called Brooklyn Haunting. One of the actresses from that film, Felicia Mariah D’Ascanio, was looking for more footage for her reel so I had a chat with my filmmaking partner Bob and he proposed a plan. “Tell her to find a location and some actors she wants to work with and I’ll write a script to fit.” Out of that was born What’s Wrong with This Picture. I hope Felicia doesn’t feel typecast in the haunting genre, but sometimes that’s the way things work. I received the script on July 25, 2015 and passed it over to Felicia. We cast the remaining roles and shot on August 15. Through some really good luck we found the amazing composer Gareth J. Rubery in London, England who was willing to work within our tight budget and he made the perfect score for our four minute film. Here it is on September 18 and we are releasing it to the world. Less than two months from script to screen, which is a personal best for us considering a couple of our 7-10 minute short films have taken two years to complete.
